Trip Notes:
-
This is a staff-chaperoned trip designed to encourage students to learn independence in a safe environment. It is also an excellent way to display our school anchors in the real world, as well as expose students to other parts of the country and different cultures, as well as new and unique experiences.
-
Your child must be eligible per the family handbook to participate.
-
Electronic Policy: Students are allowed to bring a cellphone. These can be used during “down time” (train, to call home in the evenings, etc) as expressed by chaperones. During “active time” we will be collecting them. Students will be responsible for their own electronics and bringing them is at their own risk. The school cannot be held responsible for lost/stolen/broken items. Also the school electronics policy will be in effect and if at any time a student is caught on social media their electronic will be confiscated for the remainder of the trip. In addition, all phones will be used only in the common areas of the suites and all phones will be charged in an area as assigned by the room chaperone.
-
Students will be required to call home each evening to check in with their parents.
-
Students will be given an allotted amount per meal ranging from $15-$30 for their food/drink depending on the restaurant. Should the student wish to eat anything that exceeds this amount the family will be billed for the difference.
-
Additional money will only be needed for snacks between meals and souvenirs, should you choose to send any. We have found more and more that lots of places do not take cash.
-
Custom NCCS clothing will be provided for students to wear on the trip.

-
Any major medical/travel concerns need to be put in writing and given to Aubry with your commitment form. If anything arises between then and the trip please contact Aubry ASAP.
-
All medications that need to be issued while on the trip needs to be put in writing and given to your child’s room chaperone. Chaperones and room assignments will be announced at the mandatory meeting.
